Endocrine System (Oral anti-diabetic Drugs)
What Metlife is and what it is used for:
Metlife® is an oral antihyperglycemic drug used in the management of non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM) & Polycystic ovarian syndrome.
Before you take Metlife :
Contraindications Metformin Hydrochloride is contraindicated in patients with renal disease or renal dysfunction, congestive heart failure, known hypersensitivity, acute or chronic metabolic acidosis, including diabetic ketoacidosis, with or without coma.
How to take Metlife :
The usual starting dose is one tablet 2 or 3 times daily given during or after meals. The maximum recommended dose of metformin is 3gm daily. Or, as directed by the registered physician.
Possible side effects:
Diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal bloating, flatulence, and anorexia are the most common reactions to Metlife®.
How to store Metlife :
Store below 25°C. Protect from light. Keep out of reach of children.
